image of person receiving cupping treatmentCupping is a technique utilised within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). A vacuum is created inside a glass cup before being placed on the skin, so that the cup sticks to the skin. This draws blood to the area, and is useful for pain, stiffness and congestion. After treatment, it will leave bruise like marks on the skin, which can last for some days but then will completely go away. Cupping can be used alone or in conjunction with body acupuncture.
